Btw, Haridas wasn't the only so...Dear Dreamer,

Btw, Haridas wasn't the only son. :)

In my opinon, I do believe that great causes require great sacrifices. If you see the movie, you might get few examples of what they are.

Actually, he didn't claim to be the Father of nation. It was the people around him who bestowed the title upon him. I am sure they had enough reasons to do so.

"An Indian killed him": Quite difficult to say. If you observe, there are disagreements within a house. Daughter might not like what father says. Mother may not like what son does. Brother and sisters are at loggerheads. Well Gods don't seem to get along with each other. Christianity doesn't believe in other religions. Muslims think similarly. Remember Jesus was a Jew and he was crucified by Jews. And honestly, Gandhi Ji was a human being, too. So natural that some didn't agree with him.

What Gandhi Ji did was introduced a new way of resistance which was unheard of - Ahimsa or non-violence. Remember all Gods ask us to love, he did the same. So there is something about him.

Regards,
GaneshSriganeshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06186411059847664423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14442557.post-15086706614287300812009-11-24T12:33:16.553+04:002009-11-24T12:33:16.553+04:00Gets me wondering, can a man who couldn't even...Gets me wondering, can a man who couldn't even be a good father to his only son, be a father of the nation?
He was a revolutionary, no doubt. But worthy enough to be the father of a nation? An Indian killed him.
Is he the father of the nation only because of his non-violence movement? Please tell me there's something more to it !Someday's dreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18398950425761587453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14442557.post-40692677978272960852009-11-24T06:41:32.682+04:002009-11-24T06:41:32.682+04:00nice one again.. when i started the blogpost i tho...nice one again.. when i started the blogpost i thought this will be something of a review and how it affected you.. but no.. you have actually applied some theory to it and analysed what and why it happend to haridas. i was totally surprised!!

it would have been very difficult for gandhiji to be a good father as well as lead the country to its independence at the same time. Unfortunately haridas was at the receiving end, i feel very sad for him. This facet of Gandhiji no one really knew, a well-made movie, good performances; i liked it myself.
Gandhiji was a simple man but maybe he failed to show Haridas how he too can be like him, had he understood his father's principles and ideals India probably would have got a good successor?
On the whole, a good read. :)Ghost_Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11316359953055223306noreply@blogger.com
